The Sarasota Opera House is a beautifully renovated 1,100 seat historic theater close to fine restaurants & shops in the heart of downtown Sarasota. A delightful courtyard and numerous other amenities are sure to make for an unforgettable, elegant evening.


Accessibility

The Sarasota Opera House and Pavilion, with elevator service to all floors, are accessible to physically disabled persons. The William E. Schmidt Opera Theater contains orchestra-level seating that is accessible to persons using wheelchairs; however, due to the historic nature of the theater and local fire regulations, second-floor seating is not wheelchair accessible.

All restrooms in the Sarasota Opera House have facilities for the disabled. There is also a family restroom on the first floor of the Lobby, next to the ticket kiosk.

If you need wheelchair-accessible seating, please contact the Box Office directly at (941) 953-3434, so that we may ensure it is available on the night you plan to attend a performance.

A Listen FM assistive listening system has been installed for persons desiring amplification. High powered opera glasses for the visually impaired are available at no cost at ticket kiosk in the lobby. A valid driver's license, state identification, or major credit card is required as a security deposit.
