Instrument: When asked about her instrument, Ye Young Yoon says, "There are so many percussion instruments! Shakers, tambourine, xylophone, marimba, snare drum, and many more! That's the challenge of being a percussionist as we are trying to master as instruments as we can. But it's always fun because we get to play different things all the time!"

Bachelor of Music – University of Michigan; Master of Music – New England Conservatory; Master of Music – Rice University

Biography:
Ye Young Yoon was born and raised in Seoul South Korea. She began playing piano at the age of 7. At the age of 15, she discovered percussion and wanted to pursue drums instead of piano. She has been playing percussion since – it is the best decision she has ever made!

Passions/Interests:
Ye Young Yoon enjoys baking, watching television, exercising, and coloring in her spare time.

Career Highlights:
Ye Young Yoon attended the Tanglewood Music Center and Spoleto Festival. Additionally, she has performed with Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera, and more.
