Diana Lopez

Originally from Colombia, Diana Lopez is a Bach Artist. She earned a Bachelor of Music in trumpet performance from the Lynn University Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Marc Reese, former member of Empire Brass, and completed an Advanced Certificate in orchestral studies with The Orchestra Now at Bard College. She has also studied with Benjamin Wright and Thomas Rolfs of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, as well as David Griffin of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Diana began her professional career in Colombia after winning an audition with the Bogotá Philharmonic Band, and later performed with the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia. In the United States, she has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Jacksonville Symphony, Fulcrum Point New Music Project, 3rd Coast Brass, and other orchestras and ensembles throughout the Chicago area, Texas, and Indiana, including serving as principal trumpet of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra

In addition to her performing career, Diana is the founder of the Women's Brass Association of Colombia (Fembrass), a network of more than 100 female brass musicians across Latin America dedicated to education, mentorship, and professional development. She has also been invited as a guest artist and clinician at universities throughout Colombia, engaging with young musicians through masterclasses and educational initiatives.
