André Previn’s Four Outings for Brass is a jazzy suite with each movement featuring a different instrument. Eugène Bozza wrote a large volume of music for winds. His Variations sur un thème libre is a melodic work offering the winds a chance to shine. Alexander Borodin's warmly passionate String Quartet No. 2 is a perennial favorite.

This concert honors the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s passing.
