This program features your favorite instruments in new and interesting combinations. Arnold Bax’s Quintet for Harp and Strings is dreamy and impressionistic. Florence Price’s Octet for Brasses and Piano is a melodic work that shows off the brass’ lyrical sides. LIgNEouS features solo marimba and string quartet. Finally, Gounod's Petite symphonie combines winds and horns in a charming work.
