Bruch’s lush Piano Quintet is a highly Romantic work composed for a set of dear friends to perform. The piece is passionate and playful. Beethoven's String Quartet No. 16 features moments of great tenderness and quirky rhythmic fun, and marks a triumphant conclusion to Beethoven’s extraordinary catalog of string quartets. This concert honors the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s passing.
