Anwen Deng

Fourteen-year-old pianist Anwen Deng was born in Brisbane, Australia. She began her piano studies at the age of three and was accepted into the Juilliard School pre-college program at six, becoming the youngest piano student ever accepted into Juilliard’s Pre-College. She is currently studying with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky. Anwen has received top prizes in numerous piano competitions in Australia, Poland, the USA, and Germany. She was invited to perform with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra at the age of ten. Since then, she has performed with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra, the Little Orchestra Society of New York, and the Aspen Chamber Symphony under the baton of Arie Vardi. Additionally, Anwen is studying composition at Juilliard.
