"Sebastian Berofsky is a scholarship student at Rice University where he studies with Desmond Hoebig and coaches with Norman Fischer. He previously studied with Richard Aaron and played for the Callisto Quartet and the Escher Quartet. One of three finalists in the Chautauqua SAI Competition, Sebastian has won chamber prizes at MASTA and MYAF, and solo awards at MTNA Senior String Division (Michigan) and the Michigan Pops Orchestra competition. He has attended festivals including Bowdoin and Center Stage Strings Advanced Chamber Music Program.
In 2018, Sebastian performed the Mendelssohn Viola Quintet with faculty and peers at Indiana University. Sebastian was a guest artist with the Pressenda Chamber Players in Washington, D.C. With the Berofsky Piano Quartet, he has played on the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra's chamber series, the Chautauqua Chamber Music Series, the University of Delaware Master Players, and the Crystal Valley Concert series."
