Acclaimed scholar, pianist, and educator Robert Levin provides musical insights and a unique perspective during this popular and entertaining festival lecture. Demonstrating at the keyboard, Levin will address the finer points of performance practice within the rich realm of Beethoven's music. 

A celebrated concert pianist and Mozart scholar, Robert Levin served as a faculty artist at the Sarasota Music Festival for more than a quarter of a century before being named artistic director in 2007. He served as Festival artistic director for ten years through the 2016 Festival.

Levin has had solo engagements around the world and is renowned for his improvised embellishments and cadenzas in classical period repertoire.
