Spend an evening with legendary pianist and Mozart scholar Robert Levin as he presents a recital program featuring one of Mozart's most popular sonatas.  The Piano Sonata No. 10 in C Major combines both the tender lyricism and quirky wit for which Mozart was known into a sonata that has been called "one of the most loveable works Mozart ever wrote."  The program opens with J.S. Bach's Italian Concerto in F Major, an extraordinary tour de force for one player serving in the role of both soloist and orchestra. The recital concludes with Mendelssohn's Seven Characteristic Pieces. Written when the composer was only 16, the seven miniatures showcase the extraordinary talent and versatility of one of music history's greatest prodigies. A formidable virtuoso known both for his musical insight and passion, as well as his encyclopedic knowledge of Mozart's music, Levin's performances are always extraordinary, never failing to both entertain and enlighten.
