Yasuyo Nakamura has been a piano technician for more than 20 years. When beginning her apprenticeship in the field, Yasuyo was told that she would be trained to be a piano rebuilder and a concert technician; she jumped at the opportunity, though she wasn’t sure what that meant at the time. Since 2006, Yasuyo owns and operates a piano rebuilding shop located in the heart of the Los Angeles Artist district. Yasuyo also actively works for Sony’s Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage, LACO, Steinway Concert & Artist Department, USC Thornton School of Music, and others. Her "not so" secret wish is to turn her brown thumb green.
