A native of Taiwan, Yi-Wen Yeh is a violinist committed to expressing the diversity of her musical ideas and influences. Her passion for the violin began in high school, where she had the opportunity to serve as concertmaster. After high school, Yi-Wen pursued her Bachelor’s degree at the National Taipei University of Education, studying under violinist Richard Lin. She has participated in prestigious programs such as the Asian Youth Orchestra in Italy and the Kent Music Festival, where she had the unique experience of performing alongside the Cleveland Orchestra.

During her time at the Jacobs School of Music, Yi-Wen was appointed Assistant Concertmaster of the Evansville Philharmonic and currently serves as a section first violinist with the Owensboro Symphony. She is currently pursuing a Performance Diploma in Orchestra Studies at the IU Jacobs School of Music, studying with Alex Kerr, and she received her Master’s degree in Violin Performance from the Jacobs School of Music in 2024.
