Qinghong Lian

Hailed as a “promising young musician” by WQXR, Qinghong Lian has performed in renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall. Qinghong has performed in the New York International Piano Festival, the Princeton Festival, and the Music Teachers National Association Steinway Young Artist Piano Competition. Born in Fuzhou, China, Qinghong grew up in Beijing and was accepted into the Central Conservatory of Music at age nine. He later earned degrees at the Manhattan School of Music and the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. Qinghong's mentors include Yong-Hi Moon, Jeffrey Cohen, Adam Pearl, Lucie Robert, and Mark Steinberg. Qinghong also enjoys a multifaceted artistic career that expands into the field of fashion photography. A laureate of the 2022 Palm* Photo Prize and the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, Qinghong was recognized by renowned fashion houses such as Chloé, Gucci, Sandro, and Coach. His photographs were exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and 10 14 Gallery in London.
