Bassoonist Megan Neuman is a dynamic performer, educator, and entrepreneur known for her warm orchestral and singing tone. She has performed as a substitute musician with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Albany Symphony, and Syracuse Orchestra. Currently pursuing her master’s degree at The Juilliard School, she studies with Kim Laskowski. Megan previously attended the Eastman School of Music and Juilliard Pre-College. An avid chamber musician, she founded a woodwind quintet at Eastman that won the Chamber Music Honors Recital and has performed works by Nielsen, Mozart, David Bruce, and Amanda Harberg. She has attended the Chautauqua Summer Music Institute, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and Maine Chamber Music Seminar. Megan also teaches students of all ages and runs her Etsy reed shop, ReedsByMegan.
