Katie Nakanishi

Originally from Connecticut, Katie Nakanishi started at Sarasota Orchestra as Principal Librarian in 2024. After receiving her Bachelors in Music in double bass performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, Katie went on to work in the libraries at the New England Conservatory of Music, NYO-USA, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute, Landmarks Festival Orchestra, Stockton Symphony Orchestra and the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Katie has been the Head Librarian of the Brevard Music Festival since early 2023. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time out in nature with a good chai latte and her beagle, Molly.
