Kangeun Lee, a native of South Korea, is pursuing a Doctor of Music degree in piano under Edward Auer at the Jacobs School of Music, where she also serves as an Associate Instructor. She began playing piano at age four, made her international debut at Mozarthaus in Vienna, and has performed in New York, Chicago, Budapest, Shenyang, and Seoul.

Lee graduated summa cum laude from Seoul National University, receiving the University President's Award, an honor given annually to one outstanding graduate in music. She later earned her master's degree at Jacobs as a John Winston Spanier Fellowship recipient.

A prizewinner in numerous competitions, she won 1st prize at the Indianapolis Matinee Musical Collegiate Award and received the Farwell Trust Award and Larry Davis Memorial Award. She is actively involved in organizing piano festivals, assisting at the Edward Auer Summer Workshop and Auer International Piano Academy in Seoul.
