Born and raised in Pasadena, California, Erin Sercel is a clarinetist currently pursuing a master’s degree in instrumental performance at McGill University. She currently studies with Todd Cope and has previously studied with Helen-Goode Castro and Laura Stoutenborough. Erin began her undergraduate education at the age of 13 through the Early Entrance Program at California State University, Los Angeles. She completed her bachelor’s degree at California State University, Long Beach, where she was a winner of the 2023 Concerto Competition. Erin is also a Second Prize winner of the International Clarinet Association High School Solo Competition. When not playing the clarinet, Erin enjoys sewing, drinking tea, and spending time with friends and family.
