Anne Qian Wang hails from Sydney, Australia, and is now based in New York City. Anne is Co-Director of New York Youth Symphony's Composition Program, and is an Assistant Orchestra Librarian and Pre-College Ear Training faculty at The Juilliard School, where she completed her D.M.A., M.M., and B.M in composition while studying with Melinda Wagner. Previously, she attended the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Her works have been performed in the United States and in Australia, including events with Astral Artists, the Sydney International Piano Competition, and in Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. Anne is passionate about music performance librarianship, education, and collaborative and cross-disciplinary arts and media; her doctoral dissertation is titled: "The Illusion of Choice: An Analysis of the Music in Narrative-Driven Video Games of the 2010s."
