Henry Rogers, a native of Princeton, New Jersey, is a second-year undergraduate student at The Juilliard School studying with Joel Smirnoff. Rogers first studied in New Jersey, and studied with Sally Thomas in New York City. At 15, he went to study at the Young Artists' Program at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) under Joan Kwuon. Also proficient on the viola, Rogers, with his string quartet at CIM, won the silver medal in the 2021 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition (Junior Division). Last summer, he attended the Brevard Music Center, where he won the Jan and Beattie Wood Concerto Competition and performed as a soloist, and concertmaster, with the Brevard Music Center Orchestra under Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart.
