Born in 2000, Korean/American violinist, Haeun Honney Kim has gained international recognition by winning many competitions. She has played in renowned halls such as Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, Vienna Musikverein, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Tonhalle Zürich, and more.
As an avid orchestral player, she has performed under the baton of distinguished conductors, and recently, Haeun joined the LGT Young Soloists. Haeun attended the Blair Music Academy at Vanderbilt University where she studied with Cornelia Heard. She has participated in festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Orchestre National des Jeunes du Luxembourg, Aspen Summer Music Festival, New York String Orchestra Seminar, and the Heifetz International Music Institute.
Haeun is currently studying with Nicholas Kitchen at the New England Conservatory of Music where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in violin performance. Haeun plays on an 1895 Scarampella violin that was graciously loaned to her by the Stretton Society.
