Asher Blackburn is a 3rd year Bachelor of Music student at Cleveland Insitute of Music studying under Olga Dubossarskaya Kaler. He also is a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra where he has been a section 1st violin since 2022. He has performed in halls such as Severance Hall, Seiji Ozawa Hall, Koussevitzky Shed, Kentucky Center for the Arts, and Zimmermann Symphony Center. In past summers, he has attended Bowdoin International Music Festival, Monteux School and Festival, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He has learned from musicians such as Ilya Kaler, Olga D Kaler, Peter Zazofsky, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Kathryn Brown, Jeffery Zeigler, Hsin- Lin Tsai and Si-Yan Darren Li. In orchestra, he has played under conductors such as JoAnn Falletta, Ludovic Morlot, Rafael Payare, Carlos Kalmar, Vinay Parameswaran, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Michael Jinbo, and Teddy Abrams.
