Cole George

Cole George, 20, is from Melbourne, Florida is a junior at the Eastman School of Music where he studies bassoon performance with George Sakakeeny. He is a substitute bassoonist for Symphoria Orchestra of Central New York and the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra of Florida. He has attended master classes with several professional bassoonists including Glenn Einschlag, Monica Ellis, Richard Svoboda, & Fei Xie.

Throughout high school, Cole performed in the Florida FMEA All-State Concerts where he was principal bassonist for two years. Cole was also the winner of the Space Coast Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto competition in 2018 and 2019, and he was a finalist for Brevard's Got Music Talent Competition in 2019 and 2020. Cole attended Eastern Music Festival in 2022, where he was a finalist for the concerto competition. Cole also attended Boston University Tanglewood Institute in 2019 and 2020.
