Oboist, Robert Diaz, hails from Clearwater, Florida and graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy in 2018. He attended the Cleveland Institute of Music before transferring to the New England Conservatory of Music in 2020. Recently, Robert has performed with the New England Conservatory Symphony and The Taras Quintet and in 2020, played as Guest English Horn at Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra. He is a recipient of From the Top's Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award and he performed the Poulenc Oboe Sonata with Christopher O'Riley. He currently studies with John Ferrillo and Anne Marie Gabriele. Other influential teachers include Frank Rosenwein, Elaine Douvas, Jeffrey Stephenson, and Dane Philipsen. Robert has appeared at festivals such as Sarasota Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, and the Interlochen Arts Camp. In addition to music, Robert enjoys swimming, chess, and eSports of all kind.
