Enrollment
To register for the program, fill out the application. It is possible that the class you request may reach capacity before the registration deadline. In such cases, you will be notified. Applications received after June 1 will be considered only if space is still available. To optimize the learning experience, consistent attendance is expected during the three-week program. An enrollment confirmation will be mailed prior to the beginning of classes.
Tuition / Registration Fees / Scholarships
Tuition for the three-week Summer Music Camp is $295 per student, which includes a $25 non-refundable application fee. Tuition must be paid IN FULL upon invoice. In cases where a student is unable to attend the camp, a full refund is available until June 25, 2012. No refunds will be granted after that date.
Tuition scholarships are available on a need-basis and must be requested as part of the registration application. Scholarships are made possible through a grant from the Allen Wirtz and Jo Bowen Nobbe Educational Enrichment Program of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and through generous private donations. Applications for scholarships must be postmarked by the June 1 deadline. All recipients will be notified after June 1.
Instruments
Instruments are the responsibility of each student and should be brought with them the first day of class. Students wanting to borrow their school’s instruments, should make arrangements before classes end for summer. Music stores in Charlotte, Manatee and Sarasota Counties also have rental instruments available. Percussion students: bring a pair of drumsticks size 2A or 5B and a practice pad.
Transportation
In the past, many families have formed car pools to share driving responsibilities. We are happy to put you in contact with other parents who are interested in car pooling from your area.
