International concert
and recording artist, Starr was the winner of
the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. She
has made appearances with the New York
Philharmonic, Chicago, Minnesota, Washington
National, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Symphony
Orchestras. Starr also has served as an
artist-in-residence and piano professor at the
Florida International University in Miami. Her
other positions include serving as a faculty
member at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia
and New Jersey, and as a distinguished professor at Rutgers
University. She is the Carl Zwinck Faculty Artist Chair. Starr joined the
Sarasota Music Festival faculty in 1983.
