Clive Greensmith, cello

Clive GreensmithA cellist with the Tokyo String Quartet, Greensmith also was the former principal cellist of London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been featured as a soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic, English Chamber Orchestra, Mostly Mozart Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, and the RAI Orchestra of Rome. His collaborations include work with: AndrĂ¡s Schiff, Midori, Claude Frank and Steven Isserlis. Greensmith has won several prizes including second place in the inaugural "Premio Stradivari" held in Cremona, Italy. Greensmith's teaching career includes positions at the Royal Northern College of Music, Yehudi Menuhin School, San Francisco Conservatory of Music and New York University.
