ALL percussionists are encouraged to perform all three excerpts (snare, mallets and timpani) for either Youth Symphony or Youth Philharmonic. Skill level on these excerpts will determined your placement. (Specialization in an instrument of the percussion family is not recommended to attain the full experience.)
