Hometown: I was born in Hamilton, Ontario in Canada and I moved to South Korea with my family when I was little.
Degrees / Colleges: I completed my undergraduate
degree at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and earned an
Advanced Performance Certificate from the University of Toronto.
Age you began playing an instrument: I started
Suzuki Method at the age of four. My mom heard that the Suzuki Method
would really benefit me as a child and took me in - I was told to bring a
violin.
Award / Musical Accomplishment you are most proud of: Joining the New World Symphony gave me a lot of opportunities to play with great musicians and conductors.
Style and make of your instrument: Unfortunately,
the history behind my violin is unknown – apparently, a tag was switched
by a seller in the past. It is thought to be a late17th century
instrument of French or Italian origin.
Hobbies / interests: I enjoy watching Korean TV
shows online, cooking delicious Korean food for my husband, Gavin, and
playing with my cats, Moe and Larry.
