How it Works

Information Sheets >>

  • Thanks to the generous support of donors, the Sarasota Orchestra is providing up to 2,500 Masterworks tickets to students (grade school through high school) in Sarasota and Manatee Counties during the 12/13 season.

  • When requesting tickets, students will provide the name of their school, which ensures their participation in our school incentive program.

  • Reservations must be made by the Wednesday before the performance weekend.

  • Students can enjoy one or more Masterworks concerts while also helping support their own school music program.

  • At the end of the Masterworks season (mid-April 2013), our staff will tabulate the number of students that attended our concerts from each school in the two area counties.

  • Based on the order of attendance, the Sarasota Orchestra will remit $10.00 to the school music program for each student that attended. Certain restrictions apply.

  • Not valid on previously purchased tickets.

  • Please note the venue for the performance you select.  The Sarasota Orchestra performs at both the Van Wezel in Sarasota and the Neel Performing Arts Hall in Manatee County on the campus of State College of Florida.

  • Each student attending may request one additional ticket for an adult, if needed.

  • Teachers reserving for their students should provide the names of all attending students.

  • Homeschool students who reside in Sarasota or Manatee counties may reserve free tickets through the FUNd for Tomorrow program. Parents will be asked to verify that the student is homeschooled and a local resident. At this time, homes school programs are not eligible for the $10 remitted to assist school music programs.
