Strings Technique

Cost: $250/20-week session
This class is designed to assist adults returning to their instrument or those who have learned rudimentary skills. Prerequisite playing skills include proper position and posture (bow and instrument), basic note-reading skills, knowledge of rhythm (whole notes through eighth notes), the ability to play in the key of D major and practical application of concepts presented in Essential Elements 2000 Book I. All students are encouraged to purchase a copy of Essential Elements 2000 Book II for class use.

Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

This group-class setting combines technique and orchestral skills within a supportive, social atmosphere. Appropriate technique and note-reading skills are required. Private lessons are recommended for additional support and ongoing progress. All class sheet music is supplied on a loan basis.
